Mutant Species uses a military mission and an isolated environment to make an altered body a threat within a working unit. Soldiers depend on recognizable behavior and reliable command; transformation unsettles both. Watch how the film shifts the group from an outward objective toward the question of who is still safe to trust. The creature premise gains force when practical field skills remain useful but no longer guarantee that the person exercising them is acting for the same side.
