Ah, remember the Good Ol’ Days, when Full Moon Entertainment had a distribution deal with Paramount Home Video? All right, so maybe most of what they produced wasn’t exactly stellar, but at least there were actors and personnel you may have actually heard of, and budgets that weren’t the stuff of comedy. And their strategy for building brand loyalty among viewers was nothing short of genius.
So I took the entire month of January 2000 to celebrate those Good Ol’ Days, and revisit the optimism of a production company that aspired to create “the ’90’s version of comic books.”
Movies watched as part of the festival:
- Arcade (1994)
- Bad Channels (1992)
- Beach Babes From Beyond (1993)
- Beanstalk (1994)
- Demonic Toys (1992)
- Dollman vs. Demonic Toys (1993)
- The Pit and the Pendulum (1990)
- Puppet Master 2 (1990)
- Seedpeople (1992)
- Subspecies (1991)
