The Japanese know as well as anybody that a pretty face is a great marketing tool.
Note the next to last card. Most Japanese people having their picture taken, outside of a formal setting, will (or would, when I was there) do one of two things: grab a prop, or hold up their fingers in a "peace" sign. I never could find out why.
